The role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We’re a leading engineering, support and services company, playing a vital role in various sectors. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain.
Day to day, responsibilities will include:
- Handling incoming deliveries, verify goods against paperwork, and complete the inbound receiving process
- Utilise MHE (Material Handling Equipment) to assist in various warehouse tasks, ensuring proper storage and movement of goods
- Maintain stock integrity by checking Certificates of Conformity (CofC) and shelf life of products to ensure compliance and control throughout the process
- Accurately pick and pack orders for our customers, ensuring correctness, appropriate condition, and sufficient packaging for onward distribution
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment as part of your daily duties
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
The role involves working in both Donnington and in Europe. On completion of training the work pattern will be a rotational shift of 2 weeks in UK followed by 2 weeks in Europe. Generous allowance paid for the days when working in Europe.
Babcock will accommodation and additional food allowances paid whilst in Europe.
Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:
- Valid MHE license
- Knowledge of warehousing and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
- Knowledge of warehouse (SAP) system (desirable)

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
