Job Description

Murray Myers Recruitment are very pleased to be assisting our client in recruiting for a Technical Support Operative for their Engineering and Manufacturing business based in Wednesbury. They supply and manufacture, fit and design industrial and commercial heating systems

Main Purpose of Job:
The purpose of this office based design and technical role is to provide industry leading service and support to the company’s customers, both internal and external, adding value in the delivery
of the company’s sales and service level targets. While working with speed, accuracy, excellent communication, together with a positive and confident attitude.

Main Responsibilities:
Job Activities. (These activities should not be considered restrictive)

• First point of call
• Provide After Sales Technical help
• Provide technical support to the External and Internal teams
• Maintaining customer service relating to design functioning within the timeframes and
standards set forth in key performance indicators
• Facilitate administration tasks
• Provide backup and assistance offering advice and quotations where necessary
• Logging / raising quotes on the company CRM system
• Raise quotations and or drawing layouts for client approval
• Visits to site where necessary
• Monitor, action and resolve non-conformances
• Administration and testing of the customer’s product returns and associated documentation

Relevant Qualifications, Knowledge, Training:

• Enthusiastic team player
• Ability to communicate with Internal and External customers
• Ability to define areas of improvement and implement programs
• Attention to detail
• Completion of all tasks in an accurate and timely manner
• General Knowledge of Electrical systems
• General knowledge of gas and oil heating products preferred but not essential
• Familiar with the use of Excel
• Good communication skills
• Good mathematics skills
• Methodical / logical
• A strong desire to improve & learn is essential
• Training in house will be available and also external training courses where required
• Be committed to providing 100% customer service and company objective

Hours of Work 0830-1630 Monday to Friday with 1 hour Lunch each day
Salary £23-25K

• Training will be offered to the right candidate
• A good opportunity for a young engineer to come into what is an ageing team to learn, develop their skills and in years to come step up into senior positions alongside other younger team members already in place.
