Your New Role

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Solutions Manager to join our Work Winning team, supporting our Complex Facilities Business unit. This is a permanent role based in Birmingham and offers Hybrid and remote working. Occasional travel will be required.

 

The Technical Solutions Manager plays an important role and is responsible for the development of a compliant, deliverable and bid winning technical solution for the Bid on behalf of the Bid Lead.

On top of this, the successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business growth alongside Bid Leads, Estimators, Commercial Managers, Procurement Managers SMEs and Bid Writers and will be supporting the Bid Lead in development of Bid Budgets.

 

The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday.

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Leading and coordinating the development of our understanding of the Client’s service requirement and the service delivery solution
  • Owning the operational solution, coordinating the contribution of all workstream owners into a coherent high-quality proposition aligned to customer needs
  • Leading and co-ordinating development of innovative delivery solutions which optimise both the qualitative and commercial evaluation of our bid
  • Supporting the Bid Lead throughout the various stages of the bid
  • Developing and establishing the supply chain strategy and confirming that primary supply chain partners are both appropriate for the role, are clear regarding the tasks expected and support the development of a winning bid
  • Leading the development of the operational organisation structure which is optimised for the delivery of the operational solution
  • Owning and developing the business systems model to support and underpin the delivery solution
  • Owning the development of the cost model, working closely with the Estimator to develop robust but competitively priced proposals
  • Attending Dialogue sessions and Client meetings as required

 

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • A recognised Engineering/ Mechanical or Building Engineering qualification
  • The ability to understand customer requirements including analysis of large quantities of data, e.g. asset data, service volumetrics, cost data, TUPE information etc.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative and cost-effective operational solutions
  • The ability to be a team player and able to provide technical leadership
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in M&E would be highly desirable
