SPECIFICATION SUPPORT EXECUTIVE
Established for more than 90 years, we are at a pivotal point of our expansion and growth plans. We are now looking for a Sales Support Executive to join the team and offer the Sales department ongoing support with an enthusiastic and tenacious attitude.
Responsible for appointment generation and maintenance of various spread sheets, you will be identifying, assessing and qualifying prospective specification decision makers. You will also be updating the customer and prospect contact tools (namely CRM) with relevant information. Following up sales enquiries using appropriate methods, you will communicate, liaise and negotiate effectively, both internally and externally, and produce quotes and technical/marketing data when required.
This is very much a customer focused role and a lot of your time will be spent liaising with them and assisting with external sales support while dealing with significant customers in the custodial and healthcare new build construction and refurbishment market.
This role would be particularly suitable for those looking for a part time role with flexible hours but we can also offer a full time position.
The candidate should be positive, enthusiastic and customer service focused, with a high degree of resilience and have a natural ability to communicate in a professional manner and be comfortable conversing at senior level. The role is telephone based and demands prior experience of engaging with new specification decision makers discuss our product options and services.This role would suit someone who possesses a confident telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of the Bathroom Industry would be an advantage but not an essential requirement as full product training will be given.
A basic set of IT skills are required, the ability to pay attention to detail and use of initiative is a must. The right candidate will enjoy working within a small friendly team, with good prospects and salary depending on their level of ability & experience.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Contact and follow up on early stage leads to secure meetings for sales team
Online research to identify suitable businesses and contacts for prospecting, email and direct marketing
Identify areas of new income from the existing customer database
Ensure customer records and sales activity are recorded on the database at all times
Negotiating through the sales process towards the closure of a sale
Manage own targets and sales pipeline
Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a proactive sales environment
Competency with the use of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel) & a CRM system.
