What you’ll be doing

 

Alongside reporting to the Head of Regulatory Interface and External Oversight, you’ll also:

 

  • Manage, facilitate and attend regulatory meetings with senior members of staff as appropriate to support the business and maintain professional and constructive relationships with external bodies
  • Provide the business with advice and support on regulatory matters
  • Track and monitor regulatory issues, interpret key themes and facilitate strategies to address issues identified
  • Provide governance and oversight and deploy policies, processes and procedures which supports and continuously improves effective regulatory interactions
  • Promote continuous improvement and excellence, ensuring all activities are carried out with full regard to Nuclear Site Licence requirements and other statutory regulations,
  • Support the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the team business plan and budget,
  • Work with other Group Heads to deliver agreed team and individual business targets,

 

As well as the above, you may at times be required to deputise for the Head of Regulatory Interface and External Oversight and travel between Nuclear Power Plants may be required.

  • Experience of assessing the adequacy of Nuclear Safety related management arrangements against Site Licence Conditions

 

As the Regulatory Interface Manager, you will ideally hold:

 

  • A post-graduate degree in a relevant technical discipline and hold significant management experience within a regulated Industry
  • Experience of Licensing and Regulatory interactions preferably with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and/or the Environment Agency
  • You’ll have the platform to utilise and further develop your skills to liaise and strategically interact both internally and externally with the regulators and all levels of the organisation to proactively support and maintain a constructive relationship with all our regulators through the short, medium and long term and through all phases of activity.
