About The Role
EKFB is looking for Project Manager to support the Design and Engineering team in managing the environmental permanent and temporary consents needed to deliver in accordance with the Programme and the Employer’s requirements. The individuals will work alongside the Design and Engineering (D&E) Section Lead but also give direct support to the Environmental Design Manger. They will need to liaise with subject matter experts, the design team and the construction delivery teams.
We need you to assist in the delivery of environmental consents for permanent works and to engage with construction delivery colleagues and subject matter exerts for the delivery of any additional consents needed for temporary works. Close liaison with the D&E Section Lead is required to deliver on time, and in accordance with the Employer’s requirements. This is a key role to enable delivery of the whole project and will involve occasional coordination meetings with technical approval authorities, regular reporting, updates on progress and input into the maintenance of the Consents Management Plan. Liaison with the commercial teams will also be required to help administer the contract with the designer and with the Employer. An understanding of the NEC3 suite of contracts would be advantageous.
The High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 creates a unique status and you will need to assist in coordination with the Design team, the Construction team and Subject Matter Experts for management of topics such Water Resources and Flood Risk Consents and Approvals, Protected Species Licences, Heritage Consents, Waste Environmental Permits and Control of Pollution Act 1974 – Section 61 Consents
