Role Overview:

The Programme Director (PD) is a senior role, and a crucial part of the JLR team. This role oversees the delivery and project management of all work going through the Central Teams. They are responsible for E2E delivery across the House of Brands.

The PD will manage internal readiness for the entire programme of work, ensuring Resourcing team are aware of upcoming workloads and projects, that account teams are aware of incoming briefs, and that priorities are managed appropriately. The PD will work with the wider project management team to manage forecasting, communicate and mitigate risks, and ultimately, to ensure successful delivery. The PD will also lead and line manage the Project & Programme Management team across brand and delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY FOCUS – The  Programme Director will:

  • Oversee the delivery of work across the Central Teams.
  • Own the E2E Programme Plan of workflow.
  • Create, own and manage governance on ways of working
  • Champion channel integration and communication
  • Work with CPMO team to operationalize SLA’s, KPI’s and KVI’s where required
  • Be the owner of Demand Capacity forecast for Central team.
  • Instill Project discipline throughout the account
  • Design and implement process
  • Champion continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Mitigate and escalate risk
  • Client facing delivery role

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT – The Programme Director will:

  • Lead the project management function across the Central team
  • Manage governance on best practice project management
  • Input into tools and technology discussions from a project management perspective
  • Attend and steer client/agency briefings, becoming the “go to person” for delivery.
  • Escalate risk to delivery or project health, providing mitigation plans when required.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY– The Programme Director will:

  • Lead the Programme Management team in ensuring successful delivery of briefs.
  • Owner of E2E full Programme Plan.
  • Identify, monitor and work with teams to amend KVI scales.
  • Monitor out of scope situations and agree appropriate action with LT.
  • Set clear expectations and work with the team to deliver on Accenture Song and JLR priorities and deliverables
  • Proactively identify risks to delivery, escalating when necessary to avoid commercial risk and impact to SLA’s.
  • Work with Resource Directors to ensure accurate resource for projects and any over capacity is escalated accordingly.

 

COLLABORATION– The  Programme Director will:

  • Key stakeholder for QBR Demand Forecast process, taking input from teams on timings and aligning central team to identify hot spots.
  • Lead programme and project management team across house of brands
  • Feed into leadership on upcoming projects and risk to delivery
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across Accenture Song as the go to person for E2E Programme timings.
  • Integrate channels across brand and project initiatives

Qualifications

Person Specification

Experience/Skills:

  • Extensive experience in a senior project management role in an advertising agency environment
  • Experience of managing a team and senior stakeholders
  • Exceptionally organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Agency experience strongly preferred in E2E advertising campaigns
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a complex and varied workload
  • Confident in being client facing and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint & Sharepoint
  • Experience with Workfront (SynOps for Marketing) beneficial but not essential
  • Project Management & operations focused
  • Experience in mitigation plans and programme management
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Adept at working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Jaguar Land Rover experience beneficial
