Job Description

The Big Picture

My client is an Engineering company who are recruiting for a Payroll/Administration Assistant to join their team located in Oldbury.

What you’ll be doing

·         Greet and welcome visitors

·         Answer multi-line telephone system and transfer calls

·         Process weekly timesheets for direct and indirect personnel via time and attendance system and Excel spreadsheets

·         Administer holidays/Expenses/SSP/SMP/SPP and all other related records for payroll purposes

·         Programme fobs and distribute to new and existing starters

·         Process monthly payroll and make payments via BACS system

·         Deal with all related payroll/administration queries

·         Raise and process purchase orders

·         Match delivery notes to invoices and add supplier invoices to Sage

·         Maintain records/data control

·         Observe all Health and Safety and company policies / Procedures

What you’ll need to bring to the table

·         Literacy and Numeracy skills – Min L3

·         Be able to use Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

·         Experience of payroll administration

·         Experience of Sage line 50

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

·         Attention to detail

·         Works well in a team and independently

·         Adaptable to business requirements

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential

What’s in it for you?

Hours – Mon-Fri 8am-4:45pm  (3pm finish on a Friday)

Salary – £19.5K


25 days holiday plus 8 days public/bank holidays
