What to Expect
JLR are currently looking for a Material Flow Analyst to join their industry leading EPMC (Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre) Team, based in Wolverhampton. Power Train Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the JLR Propulsion systems to support the current and next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the EPMC operations team have established, developed and continue to grow the facility to ensure a first-class service to our customer base.
The purpose of this role is to assist in the development and execution of the Material Planning and Logistics strategy to support International and local programmes. This will include working towards developing, executing and improving a robust programme plan and strategy to guarantee smooth operations and flawless launches of new programmes.
Driving our success from within, you’ll use your warehouse and/or linefeed experience combined with advanced analytical skills to lead the development of lean logistics solutions that directly contribute to the production of next generation of propulsion systems. This propulsion systems will power future Jaguar and Land Rover models and make an impression around the world.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Assist in the robust programme delivery and strategy execution to support a flawless programme launch
- Work with colleagues to support the achievement of Material Planning & Logistics strategy for all Material Planning & Logistics functions.
- Development of logistics requirement and material flow strategies, ensuring that Jaguar Land Rover are adopting Best in Class Logistics solutions
- Responsible for PFEP management & control.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
What You’ll Need
- Good analytical skills, including statistical analysis and advanced MS Excel Skills
- Experience of Industrial Logistics and Material Flow
- Process mapping and design
- Practical Problem-solving techniques and benefit contribution for efficiency improvement
- SAP – specifically material flow configuration and routing
