We are looking for a full time 35 hours per week experienced Surveyor to join our organisation, who share our values. Pay rate of £27,115 – £29,000 per annum.
The successful candidate is to have experience as a surveyor, ideally dealing with domestic accommodation. Have HNC or equivalent in Building/Maintenance (or part qualified with significant relevant experience). Experience of planned, programmed, responsive, voids and stock condition surveys for a social landlord. Energy rating, Asbestos, Fire Risk Assessment training or certifications Delivery of high quality, customer-focussed services to ensure quality outcomes for customers, tenants, residents and communities through contractor and internal delivery models Experience of effective working with a range of partners and community stakeholders, including, building effective working relationships with customers to improve service delivery
To be the technical lead across the locality, carrying out all the day to day surveying functions and responding to any technical queries raised by the residents, locality lead or colleagues.
To carry out pre & post work inspections, ensure KPI`s are met and the service is delivered on time and on budget. To respond to residents queries and or complaints
Embedding an excellent health and safety culture within the delivery team.
To report and update on all surveying functions through the asset database ensuring all survey visits and outcomes are updated
To engage with customers and participate in resident liaison groups and meetings to improve service
To provide advice to customers relating to building condition and remedy
Instigate and monitor all remedial or necessary actions including communication of survey outcomes, requirements, completions and further works to colleagues across Homes and Communities as necessary
Identify the extent, scope and timescale for repairs and future planned maintenance and improvements required to maintain the housing stock as a valuable asset
To identify opportunities to maximise asset investment and strategic use across the portfolio
To liaise with locality colleagues and specialist stock condition and FRA surveyors to maximise data collection and recording of assets, attributes and actions.
To improve the long term strategic viability of the stock including working regeneration, environmental and sustainability teams to provide long term viable building solutions.
