To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a HR Data & Systems Analyst to come and join our team, on a permanent basis, based at Ibstock Head Office LE67 6HS.
Job Purpose
The HR Data & Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and optimising the HR systems to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance. This role has a main focus of supporting the People Operations and Payroll team with data analytics and reporting. It also supports the management of the HR & Payroll system by resolving queries and helping maintain system configuration.
The analyst also contributes to system development, user training, and documentation, ensuring efficient and effective use of HR systems across the business. By analysing HR data and identifying trends, the HR Data & Systems Analyst provides valuable insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Data Security & Integrity
- Understand and manage security access levels for the HR system.
- Support in implementing and documenting security standards and user profiles to ensure data protection and compliance.
- Maintain a suite of business reports that could be used across the business, ensuring data is relevant and accurate
- Manage and maintain key system configuration data to ensure optimal system performance and integrity.
- Reporting
- Maintain a suite of business reports for use across the business, ensuring data relevance and accuracy.
- Support People and Payroll data reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. finance and audit requests)
- Data Analysis & Management
- Collate, analyse, and report on HR & Payroll data to provide management information to the wider team and business. This includes real-time HR & Payroll management reporting packs, ad hoc reports, and trend analysis to explain patterns and unexpected variances.
- Develop, Manage and maintain key HR data sets to support improved process efficiency and accuracy across HR functions.
- Support & Solutions
- Act as a liaison between end-users and the HR systems provider, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Provide ongoing support and updates to users regarding system enhancements and best practices.
- Training
- Develop and document an induction training plan for all new users, by reviewing and creating training documents to ensure they are fit for purpose and up to date.
- Provide system support and initial training to new users to improve their knowledge and capability of using the system.
- Systems Development
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and functionality of ResourceLink.
- Support with general releases, testing and communication of key changes to system to end users
- Documentation
- Develop and maintain HR system documentation, including user manuals, process maps and training materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Intermediate/advanced excel skills
- Demonstrable ability and experience in analysing and interpreting employee data/ management information and producing clear and concise reports/insight and recommendations for a wide audience
- Demonstrable success of building good relationships with stakeholders across the business and externally
- Excellent communication and grammatical skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
- A team player with strong attention to detail, with the ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
- Proactive nature, & forward thinking, positive disposition & flexible.
- Problem solving and solutions focused
Desirable
- Resourcelink knowledge or other HR systems
- PowerBI or similar reporting and analytics knowledge/experience
- Payroll/HR background, or management accounting with desire to move into HR environment
