Fin Ops Analyst (AWS)

Salary £26,000 – £40,000


Join the new data and analytics platform fin ops team, helping us to improve the effectiveness, cost efficiency and sustainability of Aviva’s AWS infrastructure through the identification and delivery of cost, KWh, and simplification initiatives.


This role would suit someone with AWS knowledge who is passionate about cost reduction and helping Aviva reach its Net Zero goals.


A bit about the job:


  • Conduct continuous, detailed analysis of AWS cloud infrastructure, including business usage trends, utilising tools such as AWS console, datadog and cloudability.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, KWh, and complexity, helping translate the analysis into recommendations.
  • Delivery backlog of identified initiatives.
  • Assist with delivery planning, taking into consideration resourcing and budgetary restrictions.
  • Identify ways to improve usage of AWS infrastructure, saving time, money, and KWh.


Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong IT background and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • AWS Cloud certification would be desirable.

  • Salary between £26,000 – £40,000  (location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
