Due to promotion, we are looking for a Customer Interaction Agent to join our friendly team at Tarmac Stancombe, Flax Bourton near Bristol. This is a great opportunity to join a successful Customer Service team working Mon – Fri (days) plus occasional Saturday morning on a rota basis. This role is easily accessible from Weston-super-Mare, Nailsea, Bristol, Chepstow, Newport, Cardiff, South Gloucester and the surrounding areas. Own vehicle is required to access site.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor the role of Customer Interaction Agent will be the initial point of contact for customers who are looking to place orders for our various building material products.

Your role as a Customer Interaction Agent will include:

  • Responsibility for customer enquiries via telephone, online and email orders from initial contact through to delivery
  • Providing customers with an excellent customer service experience
  • Completing data entry and order processing tasks
  • Collaborating within the team to clarify facts, exchange information and resolve queries
  • Inputting accurate customer data into the CRM system
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Fleet and Capacity Planners to ascertain transport and material availability

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Customer Interaction Agent will have proven customer service experience gained within a manufacturing or production environment or similar role, engaging with stakeholders.

Suitable candidates for the role of Customer Interaction Agent will have:

  • First class customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • An approachable and engaging manner
  • Tenacity and resilience when working under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • A desire to grow and be successful
  • Confidence in the use of IT systems including MS Word and Excel
  • Experience of Salesforce CRM (advantageous)

Good customer service always starts with a human touch. Whilst customer service experience is preferred for this role, the most important qualities for candidates are confidence, willingness to learn and a positive attitude to work. Success in this job may result in the chance for career progression into other roles.
