Corporate Development Senior Manager

Salary Circa £100,000

 

We have an opportunity for an experienced Corporate Development Senior Manager to join our tenacious London based team. This is a great job for someone who wishes to accelerate their career by working in an agile way across a diverse range of critical projects.

A bit about the job:

You will work collaboratively and effectively with the market leadership teams, the wider organisation, the Corporate Development team and with all other internal partners to identify inorganic opportunities that can accelerate delivery of the Group’s strategic agenda. Providing decision support on transactions, including financial and commercial analysis for strategic projects across the group – strategic and options reviews, acquisitions, disposals, distribution agreements, restructurings, and reinsurance arrangements.

 

You will be responsible for assisting transaction execution – project management, managing advisors and working with other Group functions to acquire relevant functional input. You will also, manage the preparation of ad-hoc research associated with the Group’s strategy, including business and market research, prepare Board governance and approval papers, while adopting and applying effective and efficient risk management and internal control systems, in line with agreed risk appetite.

 

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong financial, technical and analytical skills ideally with experience and knowledge in corporate finance
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate, challenge and influence at a senior level, handling key stakeholders and ensuring business needs are met
  • Ability to handle own workload and deliver to deadlines, move fluidly across topics at pace, and balance multiple and conflicting priorities, with strong leadership and social skills, and the ability to bring people with you and deliver through others
  • Degree in economics, finance and/or accounting or an actuarial or accounting qualification desirable
  • Prior experience on an analysts’ program at an investment bank or professional services firms and experience in Insurance/Financial Institutions preferable

  • Starting salary circa £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
