Are you a technical climate manager with a strong desire to help us deliver Aviva’s commitment to net zero? This is an exciting role within the Group’s Climate Centre of Excellence, working closely with all business units to support delivery of the Group’s climate and nature strategy.


A bit about the job:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Climate Manager to join our team to help us deliver Aviva’s commitment to net zero.  The role would suit someone with a very good understanding of climate strategy (across the investment, underwriting and operational business), related carbon metrics for these parts of the business and climate reporting.


In addition to working closely with all business units, this role also lead on the engagement with Investor Relations, the Financial Comms team, the Group M&A team and Group Treasury. Additional knowledge or experience related to nature/biodiversity is also desirable.


Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience built in similar roles delivering climate-focused technical leadership and delivery in the FS sector (insurance, asset management or banking)
  • Strong technical skills and expertise in climate strategy, metrics, methodology
  • Finance, sustainability, or other science degree preferred
  • Extremely proactive, agile and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisation skills, stakeholder management skills and attention to detail
