About the role

The BBV (Balfour Beatty Vinci) HS2 N1 and N2 Stage 2 Project has a
requirement to store and manage data about the Construction Assets on the
project.
The project is looking for a new team member to join the CDE (Connected Data
Environment) Systems team who would take on the hybrid role of a Data Coordinator, working closely with the Asset Information manager and a 1st Line
Software Support Analyst providing support to the systems linked to the
Connected Data Environment (CDE) managed by the BBV Information
Management Team.
The role is split across assisting with configuration of the Asset Information
Management System (managing information for Construction Asset for the HS2
project), assist in delivery of data analytics, visualisation and reporting and
system support and administration for the Information Management team

What you’ll be doing

  • Assist in ensuring the client asset information standards are met.
  • Collaborating with others, the effective capture, management and use of data to enable effective decision making and improved project delivery.
  • Assist in implementing, in collaboration with the lead BIM Co-Ordinator, data audit and verification processes to ensure consistent high quality machine readable data across the project.
  • Assist with maintaining the asset data structure
  • Deliver training in the use of the Asset Information Management System to continuously improve data management techniques across the project and enable more innovative data collection and use as the project progresses.
  • Learning about FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) and data automation and process flow
  • Provide technical and functional support for BBV and the supply chain to CDE systems
  • Assist with onboarding users from across the project, including supply chain into the BBV CDE Systems

Who we’re looking for

  • A relevant degree or equivalent is desirable “ Software development
    from a reputed institute
  • Electronic Document Management System certification/ Certification in
    any prime infrastructure engineering project collaboration software is
    desirable
  • Significant experience in working in a systems support role
  • Experience in data cleansing
  • Experience of directly gathering user requirements for the management
    of engineering data
  • Awareness of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its importance to
    engineering infrastructure
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience of interacting with APIs using Get/Post Requests is desirable
